Nature's Pride is founded by Shawn Harris. She establishes the business at the Coldenhove industrial estate in Maasdijk, The Netherlands.
2002
Relocation to new premises in De Lier with 8 employees.
2005
Nature's Pride is the first company in mainland Europe to start ripening avocados and mangoes.
Ripening capacity: 13,608 boxes per week.
2006
Nature's Pack is founded. With its in-house packaging company, Nature's Pride becomes a 'full service' supplier of fruit and vegetables.
Breaking ground for a new industrial building in Maasdijk.
December 2006: the company in De Lier burns down completely. With the help of colleagues in the industry, Nature's Pride moves into a temporary location and is back to delivering 80% of orders after two days.
2007
Opening of the new industrial building in Maasdijk at Honderdland 70.
The customer base grows to more than 300 customers in Europe.
2010
The annual turnover passes the €100 million barrier.
2011
With the introduction of the EAT ME brand, Nature's Pride's distinctive products are given a recognisable label.
Nature's Pride is presented with the Latin America Trade Award.
2012
Nature's Pride obtains the Fair for Life certification and starts marketing fair-trade mangoes.
The SIFAV '100% sustainable fruit and vegetables in 2020' covenant is signed, together with trading partners and retailers.
2013
Opening of the current business premises in Maasdijk at Honderdland 611. The sustainable character of the building results in the BREEAM Excellent certificate.
Ripening capacity: 165,000 boxes per week.
2014
Nature's Pride Foundation is set up.
Expansion of the product range with the 'berries' product group.
2015
Introduction of ready-to-eat kiwis, which are added to the EAT ME Ready-to-Eat range.
Ripening capacity 250,000 boxes per week.
2016
Opening of the boot camp site, with a view to improving employee health and vitality.
2017
Founder and CEO of Nature's Pride Shawn Harris hands over her daily responsibilities to Fred van Heyningen and Adriëlle Dankier as of 1 September 2017. Shawn remains involved with the company as a member of the Management Board. At her farewell celebrations, she was honoured with a Royal Distinction in the Order of Oranje-Nassau.
Nature's Pack BV is merged with Nature's Pride BV and now operates as a single organization.

Nature's Pride communicates its sustainability objectives, linked to the Sustainable Development Goals of the UN.
