Storage advice

- Shop: Present green asparagus tips in the refrigerator.
Our white asparagus are grown in:
Growing and harvesting
White asparagus are milky white because they hardly see the sunlight (just like chicory). As soon as the stem grows above the soil and starts to turn green, it is harvested. That is why the crop is covered with sand after planting in the field. It takes 3 years to grow into a large asparagus plant.
After cutting, the asparagus are rinsed, cooled and sorted for thickness and quality at the packing station. The harvest of the day is then immediately transported to Nature's Pride.
Packaging options
White asparagus looks great in our elegant EAT ME packaging, which regulates the conditions well so that the asparagus last longer.
- Packaging of 250 grams (available in size L asparagus)
- Packaging of 500 grams (available with asparagus in size L, XL or Jumbo)
If you sell your vegetables under your private label, that is, of course, also an option.
Recipes & preparation tips
For white asparagus, you will need to get your peeler out to remove the shoots from the outside. The bottom 1 to 2 cm are not suitable for preparation. Now the white asparagus is ready for cooking, stir-frying, sautéing or grilling. Simply sautéing them with some herbs and butter – see the Eat ME website – is a culinary adventure.
