Poblano chilli

Like sweet pepper, also in terms of heat

Poblano - Product picture

Poblano chillies are a bit of an outlier in Nature's Pride's chilli assortment. Their size and girth give the Poblano the look of a sweet pepper. The subtle, mildly spicy taste is also reminiscent of sweet peppers.  Officially, this chilli is known by two names: fresh as Poblano, dried as Ancho.

It has Mexican roots and hails from the state of Puebla. It is no coincidence that Poblanos are a regular ingredient in many Mexican recipes. Poblano peppers are very suitable for stuffing with a variety of ingredients. Grilling is also an option. Poblano peppers can also be found in mole sauces, a sauce that is widely used in Mexican cuisine.
